Why learn French with me?
First of all, you will find very few people who speak both French and English perfectly. If you do find somebody fluent in both languages, there is little chance that he or she will know the grammar of both languages inside and out.
Secondly, you may find cheaper tutors, but this is the same as buying clothes, food or other services: the more money you put into it, the better quality you get.

| Finally, you could call a tutoring agency such as Berlitz. The thing is that all these companies underpay their teachers. The best and most qualified teachers dont work for them. I have never met a qualified/smart teacher willing to work for $20/hour (Berlitz is generous enough to offer about $12.50/hour to whoever can speak or mumble a few words in a foreign language). All those who go see them pay up to $80 or $90/hour and dont really learn much. |
